We are pleased to present a unique body of work created by Dolores Marat during a
to b. art residency in St. Barth.
On the island Dolores Marat discovered a field previously unseen in her work: landscape. Her very natural, yet abstract, silent photographies complete to an intimate portrait of
St. Barth in which the few people appearing utterly integrate in the landscapes.
Dolores Marats images are timeless and intimately silent, and as such they may become our private path for our inner world. The colors often seem unreal even if she never manipulates her slides, never reframes, and never changes colors. For her prints, Dolores only trusts
Mr. Fresson, with who she works hand in hand for over 20 years. The Fresson technique of developement is a family secret since the 19th century. Each print is hand made and asks almost 3 weeks of patience.
Dolorès Marat was born in Paris where she lives and works. She is one of the leading french photographers whose work has been exhibited throughout the world. Her images transcend the boundaries of fashions and genres. She has published numerous books featuring her prints which are in major collections world-wide.
