La Vida Baila

The work of Raimundo Figueroa is guided by Love.  To better understand the mystery of love, Raimundo worked in close collaboration with a psychiatrist, Dr Victor Bernal y del Rio.  Victor wrote a short story for Raimundo which he titled’ Raimundo y las Estrellas’ ( Raimundo and the Stars), the main theme of which is the relationship of love : to love, to desire another in all its totality.  This trial inspired “La Vida Baila” ( The Life that Dances).  Victor says: “Love happens in secret, it cannot be taught, it cannot be learnt. It is impossible to describe.”  These conversations, along with images taken during a fashion show which Raimundo had been invited to film, gave birth to this creation.

Plays of light, of elegance, smooth movements of graceful bodies are at the origin of the collages. The titles : “French kiss”,  “The Red Dragon”,  “Twins”, ”Lovers “, “You and I joined by the mouth”, “The two Triangles” and others constitute “LA VIDA BAILA“. A Celebration of Life and Shared Love .

The presentation of the paintings will take place at Elisa Bally showroom, cour Vendome, 3rd floor, december 15th to February 18th.
